so it's 232 days to the wedding, and I'm pretty excited to have discovered the Livestrong/MyPlate app; what I realized from that website is that a guy my age, weight and size ought to be eating calorie-wise, and I've been able to record then all the things I eat in there (they have a handy little iphone app), or drink. Then I can get a sense of what I'm doing to myself. So far, I have a lot of sugar and salt. I should have figured.
So needless to say, I'm really impressed by this thing and all the metrics it can deliver; not only does it track the calories, but it tracks the workouts as well. So, based on my height, weight and age, it tells me I should be eating around 2700 calories a day (which is unbelievable), but what's more incredible to me is looking at the %DV I have been getting of each of the categories. Wow. I'd really like to make use of this all the way till the wedding. Just wow.
