Wisconsin is experiencing the snow equivalent of a renaissance today. It is estimated that we'll see between 10 and 14 inches between now and 3am tomorrow morning. You get a slight sense of the progression from my photos here:
The good thing is that it means I have a workout partner at lunch today; Julie is home for the day.
so on to other topics; the Superbowl. I would say that the other day on livestrong I read an article that talked
about the average Superbowl party attendee consumed something around 3000 calories during the game. I wish I could say I was exempt, alas that was not the case. So I had a backwards progressions over the last day or two, but the thing I realized this morning is that that was temporary. Because of how well we've been eating over the last 3 weeks, (at least I believe) I was able to handle those calories, and this morning I'm back to where I was on thursday morning plus about a pound. So I can say that yeah, I ran last night to get there, but I'm ok with that. We've been saying for a while now, we don't think of all this work so much as a diet, as making smarter, well informed choices. And as long as you're still making healthy meals that taste good and fill you up, who can really argue?
That's all for now.
